Compliance Glossary & Rules
Detailed technical concepts explained based on the Tally Solutions expert webinar for the UAE digital mandate.
PINT-AE
Peppol International Invoice - UAE. This is the official XML data model adopted by the Ministry of Finance. It ensures that invoices are interoperable across different accounting systems and service providers globally.
UUID (Universally Unique Identifier)
A 36-character alphanumeric string that serves as the digital fingerprint for every e-invoice. It is generated by the Tally ASP and ensures that every invoice in the UAE tax ecosystem is unique and traceable.
B2B vs B2C Rules
The e-invoicing mandate is mandatory for B2B (Business-to-Business) and B2G (Business-to-Government) transactions. For B2C (Retail), simplified invoices with QR codes are currently sufficient under Phase 1 guidelines.
Peppol Network
A secure global infrastructure for exchanging electronic documents. In the UAE, Tally acts as an Accredited Service Provider (ASP) that connects your business directly to this network.
